A small neighborhood that is unfortunately too often overlooked due to its larger and more well-known adjacent neighborhoods, Lake Claire is one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets. Intimate and close-knit, the neighbors of Lake Claire know each other by name. Despite what you may think, there isn’t actually a lake in this neighborhood; the neighborhood name is derived from the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Claire Drive. Nevertheless, the residents share an inside joke with bumper stickers proclaiming, “Ski Lake Claire!” The neighborhood, which is made up of about 1,200 homes, is lush in foliage and decorated with craftsman style bungalows, contemporary folk and Tudor style homes, and cottages. The neighborhood boasts award-wining schools and an outstanding location.
